How much will it cost to replace VW passat parts?

So I sent my car to the local VW dealership for an oil change and I get a notice in the mail to replace these parts Drive Belts, Valve cover gasket and cam Adjuster seal

What is the estimated cost to replace these? BTW I don't have an issues with the car when I drive itHow much will it cost to replace VW passat parts?
Depends on the year and engine in your Passat. Assuming it's a B5 1.8T, the valve cover gasket and cam adjuster seals are relatively easy and quick fixes. If drive belts refers to just the accessory (serpentine) belt, that's a relatively inexpensive repair, but if you are due for your timing belt to be replaced, which is recommended after 60,000 miles but no later than 100,000 miles, then you'll be looking at around a $1000 repair bill.

For the belts, replacement is dictated purely by mileage, ranges stated above. For the gaskets, they only need to be replaced if there is noticeable seepage coming from where the valve cover meets the head. You can check this by opening the hood, removing the decorative plastic engine cover, and examining this area, paying close attention to the side of the engine closest to the firewall (where the cam chain pensioner resides).
